Find out about the
that we offer. As we live within the grounds, we spend a great deal of time in the home ensuring that all residents are happy and that all their needs are met.
Perhaps you or your loved one has recently spent some time in hospital and is not ready to go home just yet, or is recovering from a serious operation, illness or accident. The professional care team at Blake Manor are best placed to provide first-rate care at our custom built home, allowing you to recuperate in the privacy of your own room.
We provide the attention and care that hospitals simply are not able to provide as their staff are often too busy.
Some of the medical conditions that older people face can be long lasting or chronic in nature, requiring ongoing nursing care that is often not possible to provide at home. In these circumstances, there is the option of long term-nursing care.
We offer older people who are living at home, an opportunity to take advantage of day care services, or become involved in a range of organised social activities. Day care can also be a welcome break for carers who need to know that their loved ones are cared for professionally – once a day, or once a week, depending on individual needs.
We recognise that some people wish to stay in their own homes where possible. At Blake Manor we offer a range of services to support this including day care and respite weekend care.
When a new resident arrives at Blake Manor, a residents’ Care Plan is prepared by our Nursing Manager, who liaises with your GP/Consultant, yourself or an appointed family member, and our professional nursing and caring team. An individual care plan ensures that all care needs are met.
